I'm Shannen Keane a lead UX designer currently working in AIB. I have been working full time as a user experience designer for nearly 4 years now. In AIB I design for applications and features across mobile and desktop. As lead I mentor other designers in their day to day role and help new joiners get started in to their role in AIB. I am confident in my experience and advocate for good design practice across the business. I bring a wealth of knowledge and a keen eye for detail to every project I undertake.

In my work I strive to create intuitive experiences that not only meet user needs but exceed their expectations. I am constantly improving my skills in user research, information architecture, wireframing, and usability testing. My process is to gain an understanding of the user's perspective and translate those insights into innovative and effective design solutions.

In addition to my technical skills, I advocate for collaboration and open communication within multidisciplinary teams. Which you'll see from my Ways of Working document I implemented into industry. I thrive in environments that foster creativity, where ideas are shared, challenged, and refined to achieve the best possible outcome. I am committed to mentoring and supporting junior designers, sharing my knowledge to contribute to the growth of the team. I have done this by encouraging weekly critique ceremonies to take place for designer to share and gain in peer feedback.

I have always been fascinated by the growth of technology and as it continues to surpass expectations I try to keep on top of emerging trends and best practices, ensuring that my designs not only meet current standards but also anticipate future user needs. My goal is to elevate overall user experiences leaving a lasting positive impression on those who integrate with what I design.

I believe in constant improvements and strive for that in all aspects of my life both business and personal. In my spare time I like to look up new restaurants to try. My goal is to eat in every Michelin Star restaurants in Ireland.
